If an expected transfer hasn't arrived, there are a few common reasons it may be delayed.
Common reasons for a delayed transfer
- the transfer was sent on a weekend or public holiday when processing is paused
- additional security or compliance checks are being carried out
- the recipient details provided were incorrect or incomplete
- the currency or payment scheme used is not supported by the recipient's bank
How long should I wait?
Local SEPA transfers may take up to 3 business days depending on the sender's bank. International SWIFT transfers can take 3 to 5 business days. In most cases transfers arrive sooner.
