If your recipient received funds in a different currency than expected, there are a few possible reasons.
The recipient's bank converted the funds
Some banks automatically convert incoming transfers into the local currency of the account. This is applied by the recipient's bank and is outside bloxley's control. The exchange rate used will be determined by their bank.
The wrong currency account was selected
When sending a transfer, make sure you selected the correct currency account to send from. If you sent from a different currency account than intended, the recipient may have received funds in an unexpected currency.
The transfer was routed via SWIFT
If your transfer was processed as a SWIFT transfer, it may have been converted by an intermediary bank along the route before reaching the recipient.
What to do
Check your transfer details in the app to confirm which currency was sent and which account it was sent from. If something doesn't look right, ask our support team via the in-app chat or at support@bloxley.com to create a ticket.
