There are a few reasons your recipient may have received less than the amount you sent.
Intermediary bank fees
For international SWIFT transfers, one or more intermediary banks may deduct their own charges while routing the payment. bloxley has no control over these fees and cannot predict or refund them.
Recipient's bank fees
The recipient's bank may charge its own processing fee upon receiving the transfer. This is applied by their bank, not by bloxley.
Currency conversion
If the recipient's bank converted the funds upon arrival, an exchange rate or conversion fee may have been applied on their end.
What you can do
If the full amount needs to reach the recipient, we recommend sending a slightly higher amount to account for potential deductions. The option to cover intermediary fees upfront is coming soon.
