bloxley transfers between users are instant and we cannot reverse them. The only way to recover the funds is if the person agrees to send them back to you.
If you accidentally sent money to the wrong bloxley member, there are steps you can take to try and recover the funds. Here’s what you can do:
Step 1: Ask the recipient to send it back
The fastest way to resolve this is by politely asking the recipient to return the money. You can do this by messaging them directly through the app and guiding them through the return process. To ask them give back the money you have to:
- Open the bloxley app and log in to your account
- Go to the Accounts tab
- Tap ‘Receive’
- Select ‘Receive money from friends’
- Search for the person’s name, phone number or bloxID
- Enter the exact amount you originally sent them
- In the note, politely and clearly explain that the transfer was a mistake and you’re requesting the funds to be returned
- Confirm with your passcode
- Wait for their response
Step 2: Contact Customer support
If you’ve reached out and haven’t received a response or the money hasn't been returned, you can contact our Customer support team. We’ll do our best to get in touch with the recipient and request that they return the funds.
However, we cannot guarantee a refund, as we cannot move money from another user’s account without their consent.
Precautions to avoid mistakes in the future:
- Always double-check the recipient’s bloxID, phone number, or name before confirming the transfer.
- Use the search feature carefully and confirm you’re sending money to the correct person.
- For large amounts, consider sending a small test amount first to confirm the recipient.
- Add notes or reminders in the transfer details to avoid confusion.
