bloxley uses the SHA (shared charges) model for international SWIFT transfers. This means you and the recipient each cover your own bank's fees. Any intermediary banks involved in routing the transfer may deduct their own charges along the way, which means the recipient could receive less than the amount sent.
It's not currently possible to choose how intermediary fees are handled.
What this means in practice
If you're sending money internationally and the full amount needs to arrive, we recommend factoring in potential intermediary fees and sending a slightly higher amount to account for any deductions.
Coming soon
We're working on giving you the option to choose your preferred fee model for international transfers.
