When you send money from your bloxley account, the transfer time varies depending on the type of transfer, destination, and other factors.
Domestic bank transfers (within the U.S.)
Transfers to U.S.-based bank accounts are generally processed within 1 to 3 business days. The exact duration may vary depending on the recipient's bank processing times.
International bank transfers
For international transfers sent via the SWIFT network, the processing time can be up to 5 business days. Factors such as intermediary banks and the recipient country's banking regulations may influence the duration.
Factors influencing transfer times
Several factors can affect how quickly a transfer is completed such as:
- Weekends and holidays: Transfers are typically not processed on weekends or bank holidays. Initiating a transfer during these periods may result in processing on the next business day.
- Bank processing times: Different banks have varying processing times, which can impact the speed of fund availability.
- Compliance checks: Transfers may be subject to anti-money laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks, which can add to the processing time.
- Technical issues: Occasionally, technical problems may cause delays in processing transfers.
Checking transfer status
To monitor the status of your transfer:
- Open the bloxley app and log in to your account
- Go to the ‘Accounts’ tab
- Tap ‘See all’ under ‘Latest transactions’
- Select the transaction you want to manage
- Review the status indicated
If a transfer is marked as "On the way" but the recipient hasn't received the funds, consider the following:
- Processing delays: Some banks may take additional time to process incoming transfers.
- Intermediary bank fees: For international transfers, intermediary banks may deduct fees, resulting in the recipient receiving less than the sent amount.
